WINONA, Minn. – Winona State volleyball held strong in a conference play match up, winning 3-0 against the Minot State Beavers.
Winona State started off strong, winning the first set 25-12 and continued to be in control of the match, winning the second and third set 25-14 and 25-22, respectively.
How it Happened:
The Warriors controlled the first set, dominating the Beavers in hitting percentage .441 to .000 and managing a match high 17 kills compared to MISU's six, allowing for a final score of 25-12.
Winona State dominated the rest of the match, winning set two 25-14 and the third set 25-22. Once again, the WSU offense helped lead the charge hitting .257 in the second set and totaling 44 kills on the match, leading to a 3-0 win for WSU.
