Edmond, Okla. – Winona State men's golf earned an impressive fourth place finish at the Skip Wagnon Invitational.
The Warriors, who finished first among NSIC teams in the event, were led by
Javier Ramos Casariego and finished with a three-round team score of 838 (-2). St. Mary's (TX) took home the team title after shooting an 806 (-34).
Casariego shot rounds of 67, 68, and 67 to finish sixth overall in the 96-golfer field at eight-under par. Casariego was in the top five in scoring on Par 3s, scoring on Par 5s, and in overall pars with 38.
Luke Maas and
Tyler Gandrud were next for Winona State, both turning in three-round totals of 212 (+2). Maas tallied rounds of 71 (+1), 72 (+2), and 69 (-1) while Gandrud carded rounds of 68 (-2), 71 (+1), and 73 (+3).
Peyton Coahran shot rounds of 73, 73, and 69 to finish with a tournament total of 215.
Max Jericho rounded out the Warrior lineup with a 216, carding scores of 71, 73, and 72.
Winona State is next in action on Monday, October 13th as they compete at the Sioux Falls Invitational.
