WINONA STATE SOCCER HAS SIX EARN CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

WINONA, Minn. - Six members of the Winona State University soccer team earned a spot on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team announced on November 25th. 

Winona State University women's soccer team had six players earn a spot on the 2025 CSC Academic All-District list: Adrianna Bixby, Madelynn Drasher, Annika Groendal, Kyleigh Jannisch, Grace Seim, Madisson Watts.

The 2025 Academic All-District soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-American program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. 

Adrianna Bixby, a defender from Saint Peter, Minn., was a key piece of the Warrior defense helping limit opponents to 10.2 shots per game during the 2025 season. She was integral to limiting opposing teams to a 0.437 shot on goal percentage.

Madelynn Drasher, a midfielder from Plymouth, Minn., was a dynamic part of the Warrior's line-up this season. Delivering a goal against UW-Parkside and tallying a season high 2 shots against Saint Cloud State. She was a key part of a dynamic Warrior team.

Annika Groendal, a defender from New Berlin, Wis., was an anchor for the Warrior defense. Groendal was selected as the Warrior's preseason defensive player to watch. She was integral to the Warrior defense helping limit opponents to 10.2 shots per game during the 2025 season. She played a key role in limiting opposing teams to a 0.437 shot on goal percentage.

Kyleigh Jannisch, a midfielder from Aurora, Ill., was a threat on the offensive side of the ball, pressuring opponents earning 28 shots and 19 shots on goal in the 2025 season as a sophomore. Jannisch collected an assist against Southwest Minnesota State as well has having 5 goals on the year. This impressive year earned her NSIC Second Team All-Conference awards.
 
Grace Seim, a midfielder from Waconia, Minn., was another key piece of a versatile Warrior line-up. Seim racked up 9 shots for the Warriors, with 2 shots on goal. Seim also helped limit opponents to 10.2 shots and a shot on goal percentage of 0.437.

Madisson Watts, a forward from Des Moines, Iowa, another offensive threat for the Warriors, pressured opponents. Watts collected a season high of 4 shots against MSU Moorhead and collected 16 shots with 8 of those being on goal. Watts also scored 3 goals on the year.
