WINONA, Minn. – Winona State volleyball held strong in a conference play match up, winning 3-0 against the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles on Senior Night.

Winona State never took their foot off the gas with one of their best hitting percentage games of the season (.385). WSU would win the first set 25-15 controllably and for the next two set would completely dominate UMC, winning 25-10 and 25-16 respectively.

How it Happened:
The Warriors controlled the first set, dominating the Golden Eagles in hitting percentage .394 to .147 and managing 16 kills compared to UMC's 10, allowing for a final score of 25-15.

WSU commanded the rest of the match with absolute dominance winning set two 25-10 and the third set 25-16. Once again, the Warrior offense and defense helped lead the charge after hitting .385 on the match and totaling seven blocks along with 55 digs.

Statistical Comparison:

• Kenna Kornely dominated the floor with 18 kills, followed by Abby Ongna who had 11.
• Ashlyn Steding dished out 22 assists and was closely followed by Jaci Winchell with 15.
• Lily Shields controlled the floor and picked up 11 digs and was followed by Anna Hennessy with 10.
• Abigail Savatski denied the net, lead the Warriors with seven blocks.

Winona State looks to finish the 2025 season strong rolling into their last matches next weekend, starting on Friday, November 14th at 6:00pm against #21 Minnesota Duluth.
