WINONA, Minn. - Four members of the Winona State University volleyball team earned a spot on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team announced on December 16th.
Winona State University women's soccer team had four players earn a spot on the 2025 CSC Academic All-District list:
Abigail Savatski,
Ashlyn Steding,
Gianna Vollrath, and
Jaci Winchell.
The 2025 Academic All-District soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-American program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Abigail Savatski, a middle hitter from North Prairie, Wis., was a anchor for the Warriors on offense and defense. She started all 28 matches for the Warriors and was second on the team in blocks with 70. She was also effective on offense, scoring 97 kills for Winona State.
Ashlyn Steding, a setter from Victoria, Minn., was another key piece of a deep Warrior line-up. In a two-setter rotation, she was able to supply 542 total assists (5.59 a/s) pushing the Winona State offense to new levels. She was also able to secure a team high 30 service aces on the season.
Gianna Vollrath, a middle blocker from Fall Creek, Wis., was a key piece for the Warrior defense and offense putting herself in second place in the record books for block assists in a season with 99. She would also be third on the team in kills with 231 and 21 service aces making her a true Swiss army knife for WSU.
Jaci Winchell, a setter from Cannon Falls, Minn., was another dynamic part of the Warriors successes. As the other member of the two-setter rotation for the Warriors, she was able to dish out 379 total assists and on the defensive side give Winona State 151 digs.
