LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Winona State University track & field made the trip across the river to compete in the Eagle Open hosted by UW-La Crosse on Friday, February 21.
The Warriors sent some athletes down to La Crosse to compete in the Eagle Open at UW-La Crosse where several athletes finished in the top-10. In the one mile run, Makenna Taylor finished 10th with a time of 5:11.26, which was .06 milliseconds behind the ninth place finisher, Julia Zalewski from UWL.
Courtney Lukas finished fifth in the 60m dash with a time of 5:80 and finished 15th in the 200m race with a time of 26.41. In the 3000m race,
Lexi Terwedo finished in second with a time of 10:36.21.
Emma Oden and
Ariana Ryskoski competed in the 400m race and finished 15th and 17th with times of 1:02.72 and 1:04.80. In the high jump,
Mari Mohling tied for 10th place with a high of 1.51m with Julia Klein from Loras.
The Winona State University track & field team will make the trip out to Mankato, Minn. on Friday, February 28 to compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships hosted my Minnesota State, Mankato and will be competing through Saturday, March 1 with events starting at 9:30 a.m.
