WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University women's tennis team looks to keep their momentum going after earning an NSIC sweep last weekend. The Warriors are set for first serve on Friday, March 28 at 7pm against Augustana University. Following their match on Friday, WSU stays in Sioux Falls for their match against the Cougars from the University of Sioux Falls on Saturday, March 29 at 4pm.
Winona State comes off a pair of wins against St. Cloud State University and the University of Minnesota Duluth. Lainy Ristau competed hard earning a perfect 4-0 record in the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
Augustana tennis holds an 8-4 record overall and 2-0 in the NSIC. Most recently the Vikings defeated Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston 7-0, 7-0 in both contests.
The University of Sioux Falls holds a 3-9 record overall and a 2-0 record in the conference. The Cougars also defeated UMC and BSU in quick fashion winning the matches 6-1, 7-0 last weekend.
