WINONA STATE ATHLETICS SPRING BREAK: FRIDAY, MARCH 7

WINONA, Minn. – Winona State Athletics Spring Break: Friday, March 7.
 
SOFTBALL
WSU (3) – GSU (2):
The Warriors earned a walk-off win in extra innings against Glenville State University. Down 2-1 heading into the bottom of the eighth, Logan Anderson drove in Sam Keller on a sacrifice fly and then Indigo Fish drove in the winning run on a double to left field, scoring Alyssa Woelfel to walk it off for the Warriors.
 
Jayda Berg earned the win for WSU after pitching 3.2 innings in relief. Anderson led Winona State at the plate, going 2-3. Four different Warriors collected a hit in the game.
 
WSU (15) – CUP (6):
Winona State scored eight runs in the first, four in the second, and three in the third to run away with a 15-6 victory in five innings over California University of Pennsylvania. Alyssa Woelfel and Bryn Elsenpeter each homered in the contest to lead Winona State.
 
Elsenpeter went 3-4 in the game with five RBIs and three runs scored. Woefel and Indigo Fish each collected two hits for the Warriors.
 
BASEBALL
WSU (13) – DSU (2):
Winona State scored 13 runs on eight hits and drew nine walks en route to a 13-2 victory in seven innings. The Warriors plated five runs in the second, three in the fourth, a run in the fifth, and four more in the sixth to put away Dickinson State University.
 
Josh Gullickson led the way with two hits while six other Warriors collected one hit each. Andrew Regner started on the mound and went 4.0 innings while striking out four batters and allowing two unearned runs to pick up the win.
