WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University baseball team is gearing up to hit the road for a pair of NSIC weekend doubleheaders against Augustana University on Saturday, April 12 at 1:30pm and Sunday, April 13 at noon.
The games will be played at Ronken Field in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Winona State Notes:
- The Warriors are 16-15 overall and hold a 12-10 record in the NSIC.
- Garrett Hietpas leads the Warriors in batting average at .405.
- Cole Fuecker leads the team in runs (36), hits (43), and stolen bases(7).
- Leading WSU in on base percentage is Jack Funke at .506.
- On the mound, George Henkel and Mason Beltrand lead the Warriors holding a 3-0 record so far this season.
- Dylan Harer holds a .625 slugging percentage to lead WSU.
Augustana Notes:
- The Vikings boast a 20-11 record overall and a 15-7 record in conference play.
- Coach Tim Huber enters his 17th season with the Vikings.
- Jack Hines leads AU in batting average at .470 and hits (54).
- Hines is also a perfect 19-19 in stolen bases this season leading the Vikings.
- Leading AU in slugging percentage is Jason Axelberg at .736.
- Ashton Michek holds a 3.96 ERA on the mound and a 4-2 record overall this season with 38.2 innijngs pitched.
