WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University baseball team is gearing up for an NSIC weekend series against Southwest Minnesota State University. The series will start with a doubleheader on Friday, April 18
th, at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and finish on Saturday, April 19th, with a game starting at 12:00 p.m.
The games will be played at Loughrey Field in Winona, Minn.
Winona State Notes:
- The Warriors are 17-20 overall and hold a 13-14 record in the NSIC.
- Easton Arendt leads Winona State in batting average at .455.
- Cole Fuecker leads the team in runs (43), hits (55), and stolen bases (9).
- Leading WSU on the mound, George Henkel and Mason Beltrand lead the Warriors holding a 3-0 record so far this season.
- Dylan Harer holds a .641 slugging percentage to lead Winona State.
Southwest Minnesota State Notes:
- The Mustangs are 21-13 overall and hold a 16-11 record in the NSIC.
- Coach Jeremy Ische enters his seventh season with Southwest Minnesota State University.
- Levi Lampert leads SMSU in batting average at .373, hits (44), and stolen bases (10).
- Lampert also leads the team in slugging percentage at .737 and on-base percentage at .516.
- Ryan Chmielewski holds a 2.86 ERA on the mound and a 4-1 record overall this season with 44.0 innings pitched.
