WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University baseball team prepares to face off against NSIC opponent, Minnesota State University, Mankato at home on Wednesday, April 9th.
The Warriors and the Mavericks' doubleheader is set for 1:30pm and 3:30pm at Loughrey Field in Winona, Minn.
Winona State Notes:
- The Warriors are 15-14 overall and 11-9 in conference play.
- Garrett Hietpas is leading the team in batting average with .400.
- Cole Fuecker has been in the batter's box the most for WSU this season with 119 at-bats. In those appearances, he has recorded 36 runs in 42 hits, nine doubles, two triples, three home runs and 20 RBIs.
- Dylan Harer is leading Winona State in slugging percentage with .644.
- Jack Funke leads the Warriors in on-base percentage with .506.
- George Henkel leads on pitchers with three wins and zero losses on the season, Wesley Johnson leads the team in innings pitched with 24.0, Cole Stanchina is leading in strikeouts with 27, and Mason Beltrand is leading all relievers in saves with three.

- The Mavericks are 24-2 and 18-1 in conference play.
- Ike Mezzenga leads the team in batting average with .406, runs with 38, hits with 41, home runs with 12, and RBIs with 44.
- Zach Stroh and Matt Fleischhacker are seventh and ninth in the NSIC in batting average.
- Nathan Culley is leading all pitchers with seven wins and zero losses on the season, innings pitched with 44.0, and strikeouts with 57, Spencer Wright leads all relievers in saves with two.
