WINONA, Minn. – Winona State baseball's
Pierce Gritzmaker has been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Gritzmaker, a junior from Woodbury, Minn., made eight starts on the mound for Winona State this season and picked up three wins while throwing 35.1 innings. Gritzmaker had his best outing in a complete-game shutout against Bemidji State on March 27th, striking out six batters en route to the victory.
The 2025 Academic All-District Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
