WINONA, Minn. – The WSU tennis team heads to Rochester, Minn. this Saturday, February 21st at 3:30pm to take on Carleton College, the Warriors are back in Winona on Sunday, February 22nd at 2:30pm to take on the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs.
The Warriors are coming off a split weekend, with a win on senior day over MSUM.
Winona State Notes:
- The Warriors are 3-2 on the year and are 1-1 in conference.
- Clara Thoemke and Nikita Agrawal are 4-1 in singles on the year.
- Thoemke is 3-0 in the No. 2 singles spot, 1-0 at No. 3 singles, and 0-1 at the No. 4 singles spot.
- Agrawal is 3-0 at the No. 4 singles spot, 1-0 at the No. 3 singles spot, and 0-1 at the No. 5 singles spot.
- Izabel Barr leads the doubles going 4-1 herself with either Thoemke or Lainy Ristau.
Carleton College Notes:
- The Knights are 6-0 on the season, and 4-0 in conference.
- Kiley Pickens, Giana Marks, and Algara Dineva are both 6-0 in singles.
- Algara is 5-0 at the No. 4 singles and 1-0 at the No. 5 singles.
- Pickens is 6-0 at the No. 2 singles spot.
- Marks is 6-0 at the No. 1 singles spot.
- A team of Marks and Kat Smiricinschi are 3-0 in doubles, with all three wins coming from the No. 1 doubles spot.
University of Minnesota Duluth Notes:
- The Bulldogs are 1-3 overall, and 0-2 in conference play.
- Sydney Friedrich and Paige Heideman are 2-0 in singles.
- Friedrich is 2-0 at the No. 2 singles.
- Heideman is 2-0 at the No. 5 singles.
- Isabelle Simon, and Carly Chaney are 1-1 in doubles at the No. 3 spot.
