WINONA, Minn. – The WSU track and field team heads across the river on Friday, February 20th for the Caged Eagle Open, hosted by UW-La Crosse at the Hetzel Fieldhouse.
The Warriors continue to stack successful meets, breaking and tying school records, as well as adding on to an impressive list of national rankings.
Winona State Notes:
- Ella Schueler broke the Winona State school record for the triple jump with 12.37m at the Mark Schuck Open, earning herself the national rank of 5th in NCAA Division II.
- Ava Krista jumped 38' 1/4" (11.59m) in the triple jump at the Mark Schuck Open earning herself the national rank of 37th in Division II.
- MacKenzie Wissbroecker earned a new Division II rank of 15th in the long jump with 19' 6" (5.95m) at the Mark Schuck Open
- Lexi Urbick tied the school record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.76s, at the Ted Nelson Classic.
- Kylie Anderson broke the meet record for the 5000m, in a time of 17:23.67s.
- The 4x400 team won at the Ted Nelson Classic and sits in third place in the NSIC.
Winona State is set to compete in nine events at the Caged Eagle Open.
