WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State track and field team hits the road on Saturday, February 7th for the Guthrie Legacy Meet, hosted by UW-La Crosse at the Hetzel Fieldhouse.
The Warriors had a successful weekend at the Mark Schuck Open hosted by Minnesota State, with multiple new national rankings and a new school record in the triple jump set by
Ella Schueler.
Winona State Notes:
- Schueler broke the Winona State school record for the triple jump with 12.37m this past weekend at the Mark Schuck Open, earning herself the national rank of 5th in NCAA Division II.
- Ava Krista jumped 11.59m in the triple jump at the Mark Schuck Open earning herself the national rank of 37th in Division II.
- MacKenzie Wissbroecker earned a new Division II rank of 15th in the long jump with 5.95m at the Mark Schuck Open.
- Mara Talabac set the tone in the mile with a time of 5:15.58 at the Mark Schuck Open and is set to race again.
- Kylie Anderson ran a 5:02.87 mile and is sitting at nine on the WSU top 10 list.
- Sasha Steinbach came in 8th in the 60m at the Mark Schuck Open and sits at third on the WSU top 10 list with a time of 7.66s.
Winona State is set to compete in 11 different events at the Guthrie Legacy Meet.
