BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Winona State University's Sadie Jarmolowicz has been announced as the 2026 NSIC Elite 18 Award winner for women's basketball, recognized for holding the highest grade point average with the most credits earned among the eight teams advancing to NSIC Tournament quarterfinal play. Jarmolowicz was presented the award during the pregame of the Winona State quarterfinal game at the NSIC Women's Basketball Tournament.
As part of the NSIC 25th Anniversary celebration during the 2016-17 academic year, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Elite 18 Award was created to recognize the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring individuals who have reached the pinnacle of competition at the NSIC Championship level in their sport while also achieving the highest academic standard among their peers. The NSIC Elite 18 Award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NSIC's 18 championships.
Jarmolowicz, a red-shirt sophomore from Freedom, Wisconsin, holds a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in accounting.
Jarmolowicz started all 29 games during the 2025-26 season, averaging 34.6 minutes per contest. She scored 295 points for a 10.2 points-per-game average while shooting 40.3 percent (89-for-221) from the field and 39.6 percent (65-for-164) from three-point range. She connected on 83.9 percent (52-for-62) of her free throws and totaled 177 rebounds (6.1 per game) to go along with 52 assists, 24 steals and five blocks.
