WINONA, Minn. – Four members of the Winona State University women's basketball team earned a spot on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, announced on March 24th.
Winona State University women's basketball team had four players earn a spot on the 2025-26 CSC All-District list:
Hailey Markworth,
Vivica Bretton,
Sadie Jarmolowicz, and
Alayna Suprenand.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District women's basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-American program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Hailey Markworth, a senior from La Grange, Ill. was a true leader for the Warriors on offense and defense. Markworth started in all 30 games for Winona State and averaged a team high 15.8 points per game. Markworth was also effective on defense by leading the team in steals with 34 on the season and was selected for the first team all-conference award by the NSIC.
Vivica Bretton, a junior from Rochester, Minn. was another key piece of the Winona State Warriors success. Bretton averaged 11.7 points per game and led the team in assists with 100. Bretton also proved herself to be an effective shooter for WSU, garnering a 42.4% field gold percentage on the season. Bretton was also selected for the second team all-conference award by the NSIC.
Sadie Jarmolowicz, a sophomore from Freedom, Wis. was a dynamic part of the Winona State offense this season. Jarmolowicz led the Warriors in three-point shooting percentage with 40.0% on the season on 68-of-170 shooting. Jarmolowicz also received the 2026 NSIC Elite 18 award that is recognized for holding the highest-grade point average with the most credits earned among the eight teams advancing to NSIC Tournament quarterfinal.
Alayna Suprenand, a junior from Fond du Lac, Wis. was an important part of the Warriors' overall success this season. Suprenand played in all 30 games for Winona State this season while locking in 15 steals, 85 rebounds and 21 assists. Suprenand also was able to score 23 total three-point shots and 35 field goals on the season.
