MANKATO, Minn. – The Winona State track and field team put on an impressive display today at the Minn State Open.
Stella Richter finished fourth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.62s. Richter now sits as the new #84 in NCAA Division II.
Ella Schueler led an impressive Warrior lineup in the triple jump. Schueler finished second at the Minn State Open with 39' 1.25" (11.92m). She is the new NCAA Division II #23.
Megan Kreul followed with 37' 4.50" (11.39m), finishing sixth and earning the new NCAA Division II rank of #73 nationally.
Ava Krista rounded out the Warrior lineup, finishing seventh with 36' 11.50" (11.26m) placing her 89th nationally.
Macy Thorson led the 200m for the Warriors at the Minn State Open finishing 12th in 26.00s. She was followed by
Reese Kuhlman in 17th with a time of 26.64, a personal best.
Caitlyn Casella led the Warriors in the 400m with a personal best of 57.81s, placing her fifth at the Minn State Open.
Adalyn Barkley followed, placing sixth with a time of 57.89s.
Richter finished seventh at the Minn State Open in the 400m with a time of 1:07.13. Teammates
Amber Gerrits and
Lydia Toshner followed placing eighth and twelfth respectively, both notching new personal bests.
Caroline Hemann led the Warrior lineup with an eighth-place finish in the 800m picking up a season best at the Minn State Open with a time of 2:33.97.
Samantha Harke finished second in the 1500m with a season best 4:50.42.
Lexi Terwedo followed with a personal best at fourth place in 4:52.00.
Emily Meyer finished fifth in the 3000m steeplechase for the Warriors with a time of 11:58.01.
Chloe Fratzke notched a new season best on the high jump with a 5' 2.25" (1.58m), finishing fourth at the Minn State Open.
Delaney Untz recorded a new personal best with a height of 5' 0.25" (1.53m), finishing tenth.
Kreul led the long jump for the Warriors finishing 13th with a season best of 17' 4.25" (5.29m).
Cecelia Dittrich also tacked on a season best with a 16' 8.75" (5.10m) finishing 16th.
The 4x400m team of Casella,
Jadence Nagel,
Jenna Anders, and Kuhlman finished second with a time of 4:04.36.
The Warriors have a heavy slate of competition this week as they head to California for the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Cal Stater LA Twilight Open. Another talented team of Warriors will be competing at the Phil Esten Challenge hosted by UW-La Crosse.
