EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Warrior track and field team had a strong showing at the Dick and Mary Johnson Invite hosted by UW-Eau Claire.
Emily Meyer won the 3000m steeplechase in 11:23.61 at the Dick and Mary Johnson Invite beating the field by 1:10.
The 4x100m relay team of
Sasha Steinbach,
Karissa Birch,
Ella Schueler, and
Caitlyn Casella set the facility and meet record winning in 46.75s. The 4x100m relay team of
Ashley-Elizabeth Lynch,
Faith Hafner,
Megan Marr and
MacKenzie Wissbroecker finished close behind in 50.74s.
Adalyn Barkley won the 400m in 57.17s.
Reese Kuhlman finished tenth in 1:00.67.
Stella Richter won the 100m hurdles in 14.79s. Teammates
Amber Gerrits and
Macy Thorson finished fifth and sixth respectively.
Steinbach set both the facility and meet record in the 100m winning in 11.98s.
Lexi Urbick also set both the facility and meet record in the 400m hurdles winning in 1:01.89. Richter finished sixth and Gerrits finished tenth.
Birch won the 200m and set the meet record with a time of 25.01s.
Alyssa Larson came in third in 25.35s with Casella close behind at 25.36s.
Jenna Anders placed fifth in the 800m finishing in 2:19.04.
Mady Dockendorf earned a seventh-place finish in the 1500m in 4:51.97.
Chloe Fratzke tabbed a second-place finish in the high jump. Fratzke jumped 5' 4.25" (1.63m).
Wissbroecker earned a second-place finish in the long jump, jumping 17' 11.75" (5.48m). Schueler finished fourth jumping 17' 9" (5.41m).
Schueler won the triple jump setting both the facility and meet record with a 39' 10" (12.14m) jump.
Cecelia Dittrich placed tenth in the javelin throw, throwing 100' 9" (30.72m).
The Warriors are on the road next week as they head to Mankato, Minn. for the Maverick Open #1 on Wednesday, April 29th and the Maverick Open #2 on Saturday, May 2nd.
