MANKATO, Minn. – The Winona State track and field team put together another dominant display of talent at the Todd Pfingsten Open hosted by Minnesota State.
Sasha Steinbach came in second in the 100m setting a personal best in the preliminaries of 11.87s good enough for a tie for second all-time at Winona State and 54th in Division II.
Faith Hafner finished in eighth at 12.85S after running 12.65s in the preliminaries.
Lexi Urbick won the 100m hurdles and set a personal best in 14.18s after setting a school record of 13.87s in the preliminaries. Urbick now sits at the rank of 44 in NCAA Division II.
Stella Richter came in fifth in 15.13s.
Amber Gerrits struggled in the final after running a season-best 14.86s in the preliminaries.
Caitlyn Casella won the 200m and set a personal best in 24.72s, moving her into the 9th spot on the Warriors' all-time top ten list
Macy Thorson finished fourth in 26.02s. Hafner came in sixth with a time of 26.07s.
Jada Wood set a season best coming in eighth in 26.49s.
Megan Marr ran a season best in 27.56s to finish in 13th.
Karissa Birch won the 400m in 56.94s equaling her personal best from two weeks ago.
Reese Kuhlman finished third in 1:01.47.
Urbick won the 400m hurdles setting a new personal best in 1:00.52, now ranking 26th in NCAA Division II and fifth all-time at Winona State. Richter set a personal best in the 400m hurdles finishing second behind Urbick in 1:04.39.
Mara Talabac won the 800m setting a personal best in 2:21.41.
Mady Dockendorf was close behind in 2:22.49 to finish third, also recording a new personal best.
Three Warriors went 1-2-3 and swept the podium in the 1500m. Senior
Kylie Anderson won in 4:38.79.
Stella Rusch was close behind in second at 4:38.86.
Ella Voit rounded out the trio in third in 4:40.30.
The Warriors had a pair of runners top the podium again in the 5000m.
Kelsey Young won the 5000m in 18:11.90.
Kelly McCarthy came in second setting a personal best in 18:39.71.
Delaney Untz finished fifth in the high jump, jumping a personal best of 5' 0.50" (1.54m).
Eva Brooks took eighth with a height of 4' 10.50" (1.49m).
Cecelia Dittrich came in fifth in the javelin throw, throwing 100' 4" (30.59m).
The Warriors are set to wrap up their regular season on Saturday, May 2nd at the Tim Marshall Open, hosted by Minnesota State.
