WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State baseball team hosts a twin bill with #14 Augustana University on Thursday, April 9, starting at 12:00pm, after being rescheduled from Wednesday. Then, they will travel to St. Cloud, Minn., to take on the Huskies for a three-game series, with the slate starting on Saturday, April 11 and concluding on Sunday, April 12.

WSU was swept in a four-game series with the Vikings last year in Sioux Falls, S.D., while splitting a doubleheader with the Huskies in St. Cloud, Minn.

Winona State Notes:

• The Warriors (13-16, 8-8 NSIC) are coming off a split doubleheader against the Jamestown Jimmies on Monday, April 6 with WSU dominating the nightcap 10-0.
• Winona State enters the 2026 season ranked 10th in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll after finishing tied for ninth in 2025. The Warriors are currently eighth in the NSIC standings.
• Head Coach Seth Wing is in his fourth season in the Warrior dugout in 2026 and his 14th year overall as an NCAA baseball coach. Wing holds an 80-100 record in his tenure with WSU.
• Max Pederson has been a consistent member behind the plate for the Warriors. He holds a .343 batting average (23-for-67) and .436 on-base percentage.
• Easton Arendt leads the lineup with 24 hits while Adam Wall powers the team with 22 RBI and five home runs.

• Hunter Guenther (3-2) leads the pitching staff with a 4.62 ERA in 39.0 innings, allowing 36 hits and 20 earned runs across seven starts. Sawyer Hoffman (2-2) is right behind with a 4.63 ERA and 38 strikeouts.
• The Warriors pitching staff composes a 5.03 ERA with 210 strikeouts in 225.1 innings pitched.

• The Vikings (24-8, 17-3 NSIC) return to the diamond after dropping two of three games to UMary last week.

• Carter Heinsch spearheads the lineup with a .416 BA, a .531 OBP with 47 hits and seven home runs.
• The AUGIE pitching staff posts a 5.42 ERA, holding opponents to a .233 batting average. Augustana has given up 229 hits while striking out 306 batters in 259.0 innings of work.
• Ethan Hoffman (5-1) leads the pitching staff with a 3.86 ERA in a team-high 39.2 innings, recording 45 strikeouts. He has allowed 35 hits and 13 walks in eight starts on the mound.

St. Cloud State Notes:

• The Huskies (15-14, 11-5 NSIC) are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Minnesota Duluth.

• St. Cloud State has tallied a .312 team batting average and .412 on-base percentage so far in the 2026 campaign.
• Wilmis Castro powers the lineup with a .377 BA, 40 hits, 13 doubles, six home runs, and four triples in 2026.
• The SCSU pitching staff posts a 6.32 ERA, holding opponents to a .281 batting average. St. Cloud State has given up 273 hits while striking out 243 batters in 243.1 innings of work.
