WARRIOR TRACK AND FIELD FINISHES THIRD AT THE NSIC OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

DULUTH, Minn. – The Winona State track and field team earned third place at the 2026 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Winona State garnered 107 total points, as Minnesota State ran awa y with the team championship after tallying 167 points. UMary finished second with 161 and Northern State was behind Winona State with 66 points.

The Warriors crowned three NSIC Champions. Ella Voit won the 3000m steeplechase on day two of the championship. Lexi Urbick won the the 400m hurdles today, earning champion status. The 4x400m relay team was crowned champion as in today as well. 

Urbick dominated the 400m hurdles, beating her previous personal and previous facility record that she set yesterday in a time of 59.00s. Urbick rose up the ranks to ninth overall in the 400m hurdles in NCAA Division II.

The Warrior's 4x400m relay team of Karissa Birch, Urbick, Alyssa Larson, and Adalyn Barkley won the 4x400m in 3:47.45.

Sasha Steinbach finished sixth in the 100m finishing in 11.38s earning the rank of 56 in NCAA Division II.

Urbick placed fourth in the 100m hurdles earning a place on the podium finishing in 14.10s. Urbick's finish earned her the rank of 43 in NCAA Division II.

Steinbach earned a sixth-place finish in the 200m, finishing in 24.72s.

The Warrior's had two podium finishers in the 400m. Larson ran a personal best 55.92s in the 400m to earn a fourth-place finish. Birch was close behind with a fifth-place finish in 56.96s.

Kylie Anderson earned a second-place finish in the 1500m. Anderson finished in 4:40.59. Stella Rusch finished in sixth in 4:42.26.

The Warriors loaded the podium in the 5000m. Anderson finished the 5000m in 17:23.94 earning a second-place finish. Rusch was close behind in third, finishing in 17:24.13.

Ella Schueler finished second in the triple jump, jumping 39' 3" (11.96m).

The 4x100m relay team of Caitlyn Casella, Steinbach, Birch, and Schueler earned a third-place finish in 47.27s.

The Warriors topped podiums and left with multiple champions in this years NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
