WINONA, Minn. -- Winona State continues its four-game nonconference homestand this week, hosting UW-Eau Claire Wednesday at 7 p.m. before welcoming Viterbo to McCown Gymnasium for a 4 p.m. game Saturday.
HOT START: The Warriors have lived up to their preseason praise, earning a 4-0 start this season. The Warriors swept three games at the Disney Tip-Off Classic in California before beating Saint Mary's 90-68 this past Saturday.
FANTASTIC FOURSOME: WSU's top four scorers have picked up where the left off from strong seasons a year ago. After each finishing in double figures in points per game last season, the tune is the same this year, as through four games

NAGLE NAILS IT: Senior
Connor Nagle enjoyed another hot shooting night Saturday against Saint Mary's sinking seven 3-pointers, with six coming in the first half. The mark ties a career high for Nagle, who now has 117 3-pointers in her career, the eighth-most in WSU history.
EASY CHARITY: WSU has been fantastic at the charity stripe this season, hitting 70-of-75 free throws (93.3 percent), which is the third best mark in Division II thus far.
FIRST TIME RANKED: The Warriors were recently ranked No. 16 in the WBCA Preseason Top 25 Coaches' Poll, marking WSU's first top 25 ranking in program history.
D2SIDA POLL: The Warriors moved up two spots in the D2SIDA (Division II Sports Information Directors of America) national poll, checking in at No. 15 this week. In the regional poll, the Warriors are ranked No. 3, behind only Emporia State and Fort Hays State.
DEFENDING McCOWN: With the win over Saint Mary's WSU brought its home nonconference winning streak to 10 games. The Warriors have three more upcoming in the next week.
PRESEASON FAVORITE: For the first time in program history, the Warriors were selected as the preseason favorite to win the NSIC both outright and in the South Division. Selected as the top five teams in the league were Winona State, Wayne State, Sioux Falls, Minnesota Crookston and St. Cloud State.
