Warrior Game Day: Women's Basketball

A 2pm tipoff for Warriors, Cougars in Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls, S.D. -- The Winona State University women's basketball team will look to climb into the win column today, January 17 as they take on the (RV) University of Sioux Falls Cougars at the Stewart Center. Tipoff is set for 2pm.  In the first contest of the two-game series, USF dispatched WSU, 67-61.

Head coach Scott Ballard and the Warriors (0-2 / 0-1 NSIC South) will work to build on an improved performance last evening, in which Winona State held a 35-30 halftime lead and received a strong outing from non-starters, with the Warrior bench contributing 35 points to the effort.

At 3-0 overall and unbeaten in the NSIC South, the University Sioux Falls sits atop the division along with Southwest Minnesota State.
