St. PAUL, Minn. - The Winona State University women's basketball team will travel to Concordia - St. Paul this evening when they take on the Golden Bears in 7:30pm game that marks the beginning of the heart of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) schedule.
The Warriors (4-1, 1-0 NSIC) will face CSP (4-1, 0-1 NSIC) in the first game of two games WSU will play over the next 48 hours. After taking on Concordia, St. Paul this evening, Winona State will host Minnesota State - Mankato on Saturday. Head coach

Winona State & Concordia St. Paul had one of the most memorable games of the 2020-21 on Feb. 13, when
Emma Fee scored at the buzzer to deliver a 68-67 Warrior win.
Winona State & Concordia St. Paul and MSU-Mankato have a combined ledger of 8-2 heading into tonight's game.
Emma Fee leads the NSIC in field goal percentage (63.8%) heading into the contest this evening and historically has been a thorn in the side of the Golden Bears.
At 4-1, Winona State is one of four NSIC Southern Division squads with that overall mark heading into the heart of NSIC play. Concordia St. Paul is also one of those teams but is 0-1 in NSIC play.
Seven of the eight NSIC Southern Division women's programs are at or above .500 at this point in the season. In contrast, the NSIC North has four programs sub-.500.
Winona State has two players - Emma Fee and Taylor Hustad - currently in the NSIC Top-25 in scoring. Fee is averaging 12.6 ppg, while Hustad is at 12.0 ppg.
Taylor Hustad is 14th in the NSIC heading into this weekend's play in rebounding, averaging 6.6 boards a game; Lauren Fech is averaging 31.2 minutes per game, the 12th most in the NSIC.
Emma Fee is leading the league in field goal percentage, hitting at a 63.8% clip. Fee is the only NSIC athlete above .600, currently. Hustad is 8th in the same category, hitting exactly 50% of her shots so far.
Caitlin Riley is tied for 8th in the NSIC in 3-point FG average per game at 1.8 each contest; her teammate Hustad is tied for 21st in the league in steals at 1.6 per game.
Emily Kieck is 22nd in the NSIC in assists per game, dishing out 2.4 helpers each contest, while Ava Sergio is 8th in the league in blocked shots, averaging one per game.
Emma Fee's 24-point game vs. NW Missouri is tied for 7th among top single-game outputs this year; Hustad's 23 vs. Upper Iowa is tied for 8th best.
The Golden Bears own an impressive 4-1 mark overall on the season, but are 0-1 in NSIC play, having lost 84-74 to MSU-Mankato on Nov. 23.
Most recently, CSP traveled to Florida where they claimed wins against Southeastern (Fla.) and the University of the Sciences (Pa.). Both games were close, with the Golden Bears beating Southeastern 74-72 and USciences, 58-55.
Riley Wheatcraft has put up some impressive numbers for CSP this year, including a 27-point effort over Southeastern on 11/26.
The Golden Bears best shooting performance this season was when Megan DuBois when 7-for-9 vs. North Central on 11/16.
Lindsey Becher blocked an eye-opening seven shots vs. Northern Michigan on 11/20 and had five vs. the Mavericks of Minnesota State - Mankato on 11/23.
Meghan DuBois logged 40 minutes on three occasions this year, going the full time vs. USciences, Southeastern and MSU-Mankato
CSP conceded 32 points to MSU-Mankato's Joey Batt in their Nov. 23 matchup.
The University of the Sciences is receiving votes in the most recent WBCA Div. II poll, marking the first ranked opponent the Golden Bears have knocked off this year.
CSP owns a 29-16 record vs. Winona State in their last 45 matchups.
