LARCHWOOD, Iowa – The Winona State University women's golf team earned a top-five finish at the Augustana Regional Preview this weekend, carding identical rounds of 323 to shoot 646 for the tournament.
The Warriors fifth-place finish marks their fourth consecutive tournament earning a spot within the top five. Augustana earned team champion honors after shooting a 609 over the two days. Morgan Brasser from Fort Hays State was the individual champion after shooting a 148.
Ellie Behring led the Warriors with a ten-over par 154 (77, 77), good for ninth place individually.
Carly Moon finished with rounds of 82 and 79 to shoot a 161 (+17) and finish inside the top 20.
Toni Baldwin and
Marah Rothgarn were separated by just two strokes after carding 165 and 167, respectively.
Rachel Henderson rounded out the Warriors lineup with rounds of 87 and 84 on the scorecard.
Winona State will wrap up their fall schedule at the Tulsa Cup on Oct. 24-25. Rogers State will serve as host in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
