WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University football team earned a selection into the NCAA Division II Football Championship, as announced by the NCAA today.
Winona State will travel to face Bemidji State in Bemidji, Minn. on Saturday, November 19 in the opening round.
This will be the eighth appearance in the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs for Winona State, and first since 2017.
After the announcement of the Warriors earning a berth into the tournament, head coach
Brian Bergstrom shared his thoughts on the selection: "We are beyond excited as a program to keep getting to play football together and to earn a Week 12. It goes right along with our mantra of '1-0.' We can't wait to attack the week. It's a credit to our guys for all the hard work they have put in and they have earned it. I couldn't be happier for them."
The Warriors concluded the regular season with an 8-3 record and an NSIC South Division Championship.
