BURNSVILLE, Minn. –
Carly Moon has earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Golfer of the Week after an excellent performance at the Midwest Intercollegiate earlier this week.
Moon, a sophomore from Baraboo, Wis., led Winona State to a fifth-place finish at the Midwest Intercollegiate held in Bolivar, Missouri on March 21-22. Her 156 overall score was the best of any NSIC competitor and was good for sixth place in a field of 93 golfers.
Moon carded an 80 on the first day and improved by four strokes to shoot a four-over par 76 on the second day to finish just four strokes back of the leaders.
Winona State's finish was their third consecutive top-5 finish as a team this spring. WSU will look to continue their momentum as they head to the Missouri Western Invitational on Mar. 28-29 in St. Joseph, Mo.
