Shereen Vallabouy earns NSIC Women's Track Athlete of the Week

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Standout Shereen Vallabouy earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors after winning the 400-meter dash at the Ashton May Invitational this past weekend.

Vallabouy, a senior from Ipoh, Malaysia, won the 400m with a time of 54.02 which was nearly four seconds ahead of second place. Her time is an NCAA provisional time, and it ranks third in NCAA Division II this season.

Vallabouy helped lead the Warriors to a second-place team finish at the Ashton May Invitational, which was held in La Crosse, Wis. on Saturday, Apr. 9. Winona State will next compete in California at the Bryan Clay Invitational (hosted by Azusa Pacific University) and the Beach Invitational (hosted by Long Beach State University) on Apr. 15-16.
