Lindsay Cunningham earns NSIC Athlete of the Week in Cross Country

WINONA, Minn. - Another season, another Roy Griak title for Lindsay Cunningham, and with it, NSIC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors. 

Cunningham cruised to her second Griak title in as many years on Friday, Sept. 23, finishing first in the field of the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Maroon Division race, claiming top honors. The Wisconsin Dells, Wis. product also won the 2021 Roy Griak Maroon Division, the first time a Winona State student-athlete had won the event. This year, Cunningham ran a 21:05 in yet another impressive performance by one of the top student-athletes in NCAA Division II cross country.

Cunningham and the Winona State women's team is off this weekend, and are next scheduled to compete on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Lewis University Crossover in Romeoville, Ill.
