WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University men's golf team is set to host the NCAA Super Regional Preview at The Bridges Golf Course in Winona, Minn. on Sept. 6-7.
The two-day tournament consists of the top teams from the NCAA Division II Midwest Region, including seven Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) teams. The University of Central Missouri, last year's regional champions and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) favorites, will be one of six MIAA teams competing in the tournament.
Heading into the 2022-23 season, Winona State was voted as the favorite to win the conference by the NSIC coaches.
Abraham Elmore was WSU's golfer to watch for the season after a very impressive 2021-22 campaign.
The tournament will consist of one round each day for a total of 36 holes. The Bridges Golf Course is a par 71 and has a total distance of 6804 yards.
This week's NCAA Super Regional Preview will be the first of five tournaments for head coach
Jeff Straight and the Warriors this fall.
