WAYNE, Neb.- The Winona State University women's basketball team is set to square off against Wayne State College and Augustana University for their first NSIC weekend on the road. The Warriors will face the Wildcats on Friday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. and then are back at it against the Vikings on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 5:30 pm.
WSU in 1-6 so far this season after earning a weekend split, beating Southwest Minnesota State 76-61 and falling short against Sioux Falls, 53-49. The Wildcats enter this weekend 3-3 overall and 0-3 in the NSIC, coming off a pair of losses to Minnesota Duluth and Concordia University, St. Paul. The Vikings are 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the NSIC. AU's last game was against Minnesota Duluth where the Bulldogs beat Augie 82-68. The Vikings will face off against Minnesota State Mankato on Dec. 8 before the Warriors travel to the Sanford Pentagon on Saturday.
