WINONA, Minn. - Winona State University head football coach Brian Bergstrom and his coaching staff added 33 student-athletes to the Warrior program, as announced by the team on National Signing Day, Wednesday, Feb. 1.
The 2023 class is Bergstrom's second signing group and represents the first full recruiting cycle for the WSU staff, having taking over the Winona State program last January.
About the class Bergstrom noted, "We are extremely grateful for, excited about and proud of the 2023 Warrior Football Signing Class. They are the right fit at the right time for our team because of their belief, character, intelligence, and football ability. Our football family and our culture grew in a very positive way today. The future is bright at Winona State, we are only just getting started.”
Bergstrom and the Warrior staff will welcome friends, fans and followers of Winona State football to a Signing Day Social, held at River City Grill. The WSU coaching staff will introduce the 2023 signing class at 7 p.m.; the open house format begins at 5 p.m. and is scheduled to end at 8 p.m. River City Grill is located at 1025 US-61, Winona, Minn. 55987.
