Warrior Football : Spring Game

WINONA, Minn. - The 2023 Winona State Football spring season comes to a close on Saturday, April 22 in the annual Spring Game to held at Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium.  Head football coach Brian Bergstrom will address the crowd at 1:50 p.m. and the competition begins at 2 p.m.

The annual scrimmage will feature a Purple and White game, conducted in a offense versus defense format. In addition to traditional scoring, points are awarded to the defense for fumble recoveries, interceptions and stops on fourth down, among other plays.  

The Warrior Game Day Experience will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Johnson Street, adjacent to the Winona State Integrated Wellness Complex. Food trucks, vendors, student groups, and giveaways will highlight the event, in addition to games and activities.

Winona State will kick off the 2023 regular season at Saginaw Valley State University on Thursday, August 31 at 6 pm EST.  The home opener for the Warriors is set for Saturday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. when WSU takes on Concordia St. Paul in Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium.
