WINONA, Minn. – Winona State football will hold the annual spring game on Saturday, April 25th. The Warriors also announced the 2026 schedule, which will kick off at NCAA DI University of St. Thomas on Thursday, August 27th.
WSU's annual spring game will kickoff at 1:00pm on Maxwell Field, following the Spring GameDay Experience from 11:00am-1:00pm on Johnson St. on the campus of Winona State University. The event is a free, family-friendly event offering food trucks, vendors, student groups, and activities.
The 2026 season will begin under the lights at O'Shaughnessy Stadium on the campus of NCAA Division I member St. Thomas on Thursday, August 27th. The Warriors and Tommies have squared off just one prior time, as UST defeated WSU 21-14 in 1981.
Winona State will then open NSIC play at Northern State on Thursday, September 3rd with kickoff slated for 6:00pm. WSU's home opener will be against the University of Jamestown for the matchup's first-ever meeting.
After a road test at Minnesota Duluth, Winona State welcomes Augustana on September 26th for a 6:00pm kickoff under the lights at Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium. Two weeks later, the Warriors host rival Minnesota State for Homecoming on Saturday, October 10th at 2:00pm.
WSU will be home for a two-week stretch beginning with Sioux Falls on Halloween then UMary to conclude to home portion of the regular season on November 7th. Winona State's season finale will take place at SMSU in mid-November.
In all, Winona State will play an 11-game schedule with 10 league games and five games at home.
