BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Winona State University women's golf student-athletes
Carly Moon and
Ellie Behring earned NSIC All-Conference honors for the 2022-23 season, as announced by the league office.
Moon, a junior from Baraboo, Wis., was named to the All-NSIC First Team. This is the second-consecutive year Moon earned All-Conference honors after being named Second Team All-Conference in 2022.
Throughout the 2022-23 season, Moon held a 77.2 scoring average across 20 rounds including a season-low 72 (E) during the first round of the NSIC Championships. Moon earned seven top-10 finishes and one medalist performance during the season and concluded her junior season with an appearance at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Central Regional.
Behring, a sophomore from Oak Creek, Wis., competed in 17 rounds with a scoring average of 79.8 to earn her first All-Conference nod. Behring carded a season-low 76 (+4) at the Wildcat Classic in April. In nine events, Behring recorded six top-10 finishes.
Winona State ended their season with seven top-five team finishes, including a team championship at The Watkins Invitational in September.
Jeff Straight guided the Warriors to a runner-up finish at the NSIC Championships, which is the best finish for WSU at the championships since 2007.
