LARCHWOOD, Iowa – The Winona State University men's golf team took home first place at the 2024 Sioux Falls Invitational held at The Falls Golf Course located in Larchwood, Iowa. WSU took home a sweep of the podium individually, earning first, second and third place finishes individually.
As a team Winona State shot an outstanding 566 (-10) to taking home the first-place finish as a team. Augustana was the next closest team to the Warriors shooting a 595 (+19), 29 strokes behind Winona State.
Leading the Warriors with a first-place individual finish was Peyton Coahran finishing with rounds of 68 (-4) and 70 (-2). Earning a second-place finish was Tyler Johnson shooting a 142 (-2) with rounds of 73 (+1) and 69 (-3). In third came Logan Chouinard with an individual score of 143 (-1).
Rounding out Winona State's scoring was Diego Olano shooting a 146 (+2) and Luke Maas carding a 149 (+5).
The Warriors had Stratton Deneke compete as an individual, carding a 156 (+12) through the two rounds.
The Winona State men's golf team is next in action on Monday, October 21 and Tuesday, October 22 where they head south for the Ichabod Invitational in Topeka, Kansas held at the Topeka Country Club.
