EDMOND, Okla. - The Winona State University women's golf team competed in the Grace Shin Invitational at the Kicking Bird Golf Club on Monday, October 7 and Tuesday, October 8.
Central Missouri took the team championship carding a total score of 573 (+13) with Paige Hoffman from Nortwest Missouri taking the invidual championship shooting a 138 (-2).
The Warriors competed against 24 separate teams, finishing in a tie for 14th. Leading Winona State on the scorecard was Kessa Mara, finishing in 31st totaling a two-round score of 148 (+8), shooting rounds of 73 (+3) and 75 (+5) for the Warriors. Next up for Winona State on the scorecard was freshman Megan Young carding a score of 149 (+9) with scores of 77 (+7) and 72 (+2). Freshman Kelby Anderson was up next for the WSU carding a two-round score of 151 (+11).
Ellie Behring celebrated an incredible moment on the golf course when she achieved her first ever hole in one on hole number 3 at the Kicking Bird Golf club, a 142-yard par 3. She finished her two-round score at 152 (+12).
Maeve McDougal would round out the Warriors shooting a 157 (+17) shooting round of 77 (+7) and 80 (+10).
Winona State women's golf is next in action on Monday, October 14 and Tuesday, October 15 at the Sioux Falls Invitational at The Falls Golf Course in Larchwood, Iowa.
