WINONA STATE TO COMPETE AT THE 2024 NCAA DIVISION II CHAMPIONSHIPS

WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State women's cross country is looking to repeat last year's success racing in the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championships held in Sacramento, Calif., on Saturday, November 23 at 1:15pm CST.

Earning an at-large bid into the championships after a fourth-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Division II Central Region Championships, the Warriors will be making their third straight appearance as a team at the Championships. In 2021, WSU finished 11th overall and followed it up with a fifth-place finish in 2023.

Winona State has had plenty of success this season, finishing in the top ten as a team in all five of their meets. A few of this year's top runners who have helped lead the charge for the Warriors are Sophia Taarud, McKenna Taylor, and Ella Voit. In all five of their meets this season, these three runners have finished after one another.

The 2024 Championships will be held on Saturday, November 23 at Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, California. Sacramento Sports Commission and California Collegiate Athletic Association will serve as the host. The women's race will begin at 1:15pm CST.

A live webstream of the championships will occur on www.NCAA.com from noon CST until the conclusion of the awards ceremony.
