WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University softball team had five players earn All-NSIC honors following the regular season, with
Abbie Hlas claiming First Team honors to pace the Warriors.

Teaghen Amwoza,
Carly Engelhardt,
Sam Keller and
Savannah Serdynski who were named to the NSIC Second Team in the postseason accolades, announced on the eve of the 2024 NSIC Softball Tournament.
Hlas moved into the top spot on the Winona State doubles charts early on in the 2024 season and was a key part of the WSU 33-19 season. Hlas enters the postseason hitting .399 on the year with 17 doubles, two triples and a home run. Hlas has earned 21 walks at the plate and been the Warrior shortstop in all 52 games played so far this year.
Teaghen Amwoza batted .346 during the regular season with a .427 slugging percentage. Holding down second base for head coach
Greg Jones, Amwoza was second on the team in doubles with 15 and scored 28 runs for the Warriors.
Carly Engelhardt was a leading power threat for Winona State in 2024, hitting five home runs and tying Hlas and
Sam Keller for the team lead in doubles with 17. Engelhardt recorded a regular-season slugging percentage of .538 while earning 48 starts and collecting a team-leading 46 RBI in 52 games for WSU.
Sam Keller combined with Engelhardt to form a formidable duo in the Warrior lineup, as Keller led WSU with eight home runs on the season. Keller had 44 RBI, second-best on the squad, while hitting 17 doubles and adding two singles. Keller added several stellar defensive plays throughout the Warrior season while patrolling center field.
Savannah Serdynski rounded out the Winona State All-NSIC selections, batting .343, playing in 51 games with 50 starts. An outstanding defensive presence at third base, Serdynski also hit six doubles and added a home run and a triple to the WSU offense.
Winona State (33-19, 17-9 NSIC) enters the 2024 NSIC Softball Tournament as the sixth seed and will face the University of Minnesota Duluth on Thursday. The Warriors and Bulldogs are set for 5:30 p.m. start in Sioux Falls.
