MARLBORO, N.J. - Winona State University gymnastics team earned a fifth place ranking in the 2023-24 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Academic Rankings out of 87 schools. The Warriors had 19 gymnasts with a 3.5 GPA or higher from the 2023-24 school year.
There were 63 programs that averaged a 3.5 or high GPA, which had 1,174 individuals that hit that mark. This was a all-time record for the WCGA since 2008 when they started monitoring these statistics. WSU collected 10 student-athletes that earned a 4.0 GPA. The WGCA Board Chair, Casey Jo MacPherson stated "With another year in the books, our student-athletes continue to raise the bar in the classroom in addition to on the competition floor, and I am always amazed at their ability to manage everything on their plate. Their impressive academic achievements are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and steadfast commitment to succeeding in all aspects of their lives."

The Winona State University Warriors look to start their 2024-25 season off strong at their first meet at Simpson College on January 11.
