Hailey Markworth earned NSIC South Player of the Week after averaging 25.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in a 2-0 weekend for the Warriors.
Markworth, a senior from LaGrange, Ill. helped the Warriors women's basketball team to a 2-0 weekend against Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State at their home McCown Gymnasium.
Markworth averaged 25.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting .458 from the field and .792 at the line across the two-game stretch. Markworth also had a season high against Southwest Minnesota State, scoring 27 points in an 84-78 win. Continuing her success, Markworth scored a team high 24 points in a 77-68 win of Sioux Falls while also grabbing two steals and two assists over the weekend.
Winona State (7-4, 4-1 NSIC) is in action next, this Thursday as they travel to Augustana for a 7:30pm road showdown.
