WARRIORS FINISH FIFTH AT WILDCAT CLASSIC

WAYNE, Neb. - The Winona State University women's golf team competed at Wayne Country Club in a field of 14 teams and over 75 players, placing 5th as a team. The Warriors shot a 644 (+72) as a team with freshman Megan Young leading the Way for the Warriors. 

Young shot a two-round score of 159 (+15), placing 7th individually. Next up for Winona State was Ellie Behring shooting a 162 (+18) finishing in the top 20. Kelby Anderson shortly followed Warrior teammate Behring with a 163 (+19), landing her in 22nd individually. Kessa Mara carded a 165 (+21) and Georgia Volley rounded out WSU with a 171 (+27). 

Competing as individuals were Kaylie Kelchen and Celia Turner in the two rounds for WSU. Kelchen shot a 171 (+27) and Turner carded a 185 (+41). 

Winona State is next in action at the NSIC Championships on April 24 through April 27 in Smithville, Mo.
