BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - The Winona State University men's golf team competed at the 2025 NSIC Men's Golf Championship, taking home 2nd place.
In round one at Adams Pointe Golf Club the Warriors shot a combined score of 299 (+11). Leading the charge on day one was
Luke Maas shooting an even 72. Following Maas was
Tyler Gandrud carding a 74 (+2) and
Peyton Coahran right behind at 75 (+3). Rounding out Winona State was
Logan Chouinard 78 (+6) and
Javier Ramos Casariego 82 (+10).
WSU found themselves in third after day one and came out strong to begin day number two starting the first four holes six under as a team. Keeping the clubs swinging well
Tyler Gandrud and
Logan Chouinard shot a 70 (-2).
Luke Maas carded a 71 (-1) on the day.
Tyler Johnson was subbed in on day two carding a 73 (+1) and finishing the Warriors off was
Peyton Coahran with a 74 (+2).
On the final day of the NSIC Men's Golf Championship the Warriors shot a 289 (+1) with
Luke Maas leading the way with an impressive 69 (-3) for the Warriors, earning him a spot on the podium individually, placing third with a total score of 212 (-4), being apart of the NSIC All-Tournament team.
Peyton Coahran shot an even 72 today placing 14th indvidually, with a combined score of 221 (+5).
Tyler Johnson carded at 73 (+1) in the third round.
Logan Chouinard saw himself just behind Johnson carding a 75 (+3) for a combined 223 (+7), placing 17th individually. Lastly
Tyler Gandrud rounded out the Warriors squad with a 76 (+4) on the day and a three-round score of 220 (+4) placing 10th individually.
Winona State will await the selection release to see if they qualify for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships.
