DES MOINES, Iowa & EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The Winona State University track and field team had two successful outing at the Drake Relay and the Dick & Mary Johnson Invite that started on Thursday, April 24 through Saturday, April 27.
In the Drake Relay,
Ella Voit finished 10th in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:46.99. In the 5000 meter race,
Kylie Anderson took ninth place with a time of 17:11.49, .22 seconds behind the eighth place finisher from Marquette. McKenna Talyor finished 19th place in the 10,000 meter race with a time of 38:49.21. In the long jump, McKenzie Wissbroecker too sixth place with a distance of 5.81 meters.
Regan Feit took 14th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.53.Â
At the Dick & Mary Johnson Invite,
Alyssa Larson took first place andÂ
Karissa Birch took third place in the 400 meter race with Larson having a time of 56.90 and Birch with a time of 58.12.
Stella Richter took third place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.82. In the 100 meter race,
Courtney Lukas took second place with a time of 12.43, .20 second behind the first place finisher from UW-La Crosse.
Jenna Anders took first place in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:16.61. In the 200 meter race,Â
Caitlyn Casella took first place with a time of 25.39 and Lukas took second place with a time of 25.72. The Warriors 4x100 took first place with a time of 3:59.35 with Birch, Larson, Anders,
Brittany Beadles competing in this event. In the 5000 meter race, WSU took first, second and third withÂ
Violet Schulteis taking first place with a time of 18:19.72,Â
Lexi Terwedo taking second place with a time of 18:30.71, andÂ
Libby Ray finished third with a time of 18:34.78.Â
Mari Mohling took fifth place in the high jump with a distance of 1.58 meters.Â
The Winona State University track and field team will compete in their last two regular season meets with the Maverick Open #1 on Wednesday, April 30 and the Maverick Open #2 on Friday, May 2, both hosted by Minnesota State, Mankato.Â
