MANKATO, Minn. - The Winona State University track and field team goes the distance at the Maverick Open #1 hosted by Minnesota State, Mankato on Wednesday, April 30.
In the track events,
Stella Richter took fifth place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.76. In the 100m race,
Courtney Lukas took third with a time of 12.27.
Josie Tieskoetter took eighth in the 800m race with a time of 2:25.68. In the 400m hurdles,
Regan Feit took first place with a time of 1:02.18, Richter took fourth place with a time of 1:06.94,
Emma Oden took fifth with a time of 1:07.88, and
Ariana Ryskoski took eighth with a time of 1:10.66.
Caitlyn Casella took first with a time 24.97, Lukas took second with a time of 25.05, and
Karissa Birch took fifth with a time of 25.26 in the 200m race. In the 1500m,
Samantha Harke took second with a time of 4:44.17,
Lexi Terwedo took fourth with a time of 4:53.12,
Mara Talabac took fifth with a time of 4:55.23, and
Mady Dockendorf took sixth with a time of 4:55.57.
In the field events,
MacKenzie Wissbroecker took first place in the long jump with a distance of 6.31m, which broke the Winona State Outdoor Track & Field record and is the second best jump NCAA Division II Outdoor Women's Track & Field.
Mari Mohling took eighth in the high jump with a distance of 1.58m. In the triple jump,
Hanna Reichenberger took second place with a distance of 12.05m. Overall as a team, the Warriors took third place with a score of 91.5 at the Maverick Open #1.
The Winona State University track and field team will compete in the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships starting on Thursday, May 8 until Saturday, May 10, which will be hosted by the University of Minnesota Duluth.
