LA CROSSE, Wis. – Winona State track and field competed at the Ashton May Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse to open the outdoor schedule.
To being the day, three Warriors placed in the top-six overall in the 5000 meters.
Violet Schulteis earned a runner-up finish with an 18:13.93 while
Lexi Terwedo and
Libby Ray finished fifth and sixth.
Kylie Anderson continued a successful spring finishing first among all collegiate athletes in the 1500 meters and second overall with a 4:39.22.
Samantha Harke also earned a top-10 finish with a 4:44.78.
Hanna Reichenberger took fourth in the 100m hurdles (14.41) and second in the triple jump with a best jump of 11.50 meters, getting nearly edged out by a NCAA Division I student-athlete from UW-Milwaukee.
Sasha Steinbach and
Caitlyn Casella each placed in the top-10 of the 100 meters, with Steinbach sprinting to a time of 12.22 and Casella crossing the finish line in 12.69 seconds.
Alyssa Larson led the Warriors in the 400 meters, running the race in 58.08 seconds to finish in second place.
Jenna Anders finished the 800 meters in 2:20.72 to earn third place.
Regan Feit took third in the 400m hurdlers, finishing in 1:03.29.
Ella Voit took home first-place honors in the 3000m steeplechase, defeating the field by over 20 seconds with a time of 11:09.01.
The Warriors ended the meet with 73 total points to finish in sixth place.
