DULUTH, Minn. - The Winona State University track and field team excelled at the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Minnesota Duluth on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10.
On Friday in track events,
Ella Voit competed in the 3000m steeplechase and took home first place with a time of 10:48.26. In the field events, MacKenzie Wissbrocker took home third place in the long jump with a distance of 5.88m.Â
On Saturday in the track events, in the first round of the 4x100m relay, where
Karissa Birch,
Caitlyn Casella,
Courtney Lukas, and Wissbroecker competed and took sixth place with a time of 47.32.
Kylie Anderson competed in the 1500m race and took fourth place with a time of 4:36.01 and in the 5000m race took home third place with a time of 17:21.38. In the 400m race,
Alyssa Larson took fourth place with a time of 56.61.
Regan Feit took earned the NSIC Championship in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.46.  In the 4x400m relay, Birch, Larson,
Jenna Anders, and Feit took fifth place with a time of 3:54.71.Â
The Winona State University track and field team will look to see which athletes will head to the NCAA Divion II Outdoor Championships in Pueblo, Colo. starting on Thursday, May 22 and going until Saturday, May 24.Â
