WINONA, Minn. – Winona State softball head coach Greg Jones has announced five commits to the Warrior softball program: Taylor Bloohm, Madi Rowe, Ashley Theisen, Lauren Volling, and Anna Zaruba.

Coach Jones on the recruiting class: "We are excited to announce our signing class of 2025.   This entire group is made up of elite student-athletes who will make an impact both on and off the field at Winona State.  This group consists of very high character individuals who also happen to be very high-end softball players.   I can't wait for this tremendous group of gifted student/athletes to get to campus next fall and help continue to lead our program to even greater heights."

Taylor Bloohm, a 3rd baseman from Lomira, Wis. and Lomira High School, is a three-time Wisconsin Flyway All-Conference honoree and a two-time HM All-District award winner. Bloohm was named Lomira's Offensive MVP in 2023 and the Defensive MVP in 2024.

Coach Jones on Bloohm: "We are incredibly happy to welcome Taylor Bloohm to the Winona State Softball Family. Taylor is both an elite hitter and defender who has the ability to make an immediate impact in our offensive lineup the moment she walks onto campus next fall. Taylor is incredibly dedicated to her craft and her love and appreciation for the game is contagious. Taylor is a great teammate and leads by example both on and off the field."

Madi Rowe, a shortstop from Rice Lake Wis. and Rice Lake High School, earned First Team All-Conference, First Team All-District, and First Team All-State honors in the 2024 season after being named to the Second Team Big Rivers All-Conference in 2023.

Coach Jones on Rowe: "We are thrilled to have someone of Madi's skill and ability join our program. Madi is a tremendous athlete. She has the ability to make plays all over the field from her SS position. Likewise, Madi is one of the premier hitters in the state of Wisconsin. Coach Jones on Theisen: "We are very excited to welcome Ashley Theisen to the Winona State Softball Family. Ashley is an elite pitcher who has had a tremendous amount of success for both her high school and summer programs. Ashlee has tremendous mound presence, and is a supremely confident pitcher. She can control the game from the circle not only with her pace and movement, but with her Grit and determination. Her drive, dedication, and tremendous talent will be a perfect addition to our pitching staff."

Lauren Volling, an infielder from Excelsior, Minn. and Minnetonka High School, has been named Lake Conference All-Conference in both 2023 and 2024. Volling also earned All-Section honors in 2023 and 2024.

She has the ability to play several spots on the field for us defensively with her athleticism and mobility. Lauren can be a game changer on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. She has played the game at a very high level and has a great softball IQ. We look forward to her making an immediate impact on our team as soon as she pulls on the Warrior Jersey."
