LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Winona State University track and field team had five different first-place finishers at the inaugural Pat Healy Classic hosted by UW-La Crosse.
WSU's 4x400m relay team of
Regan Feit,
Kaylee Beyer,
Brooklyn Schyvinck, and
Shereen Vallabouy eclipsed an impressive day for the Warrior track and field team, earning a first-place finish with a time of 3:50.95, nearly 17 seconds ahead of the field.
Vallabouy also earned first place in the 400-meter dash with an impressive time of 54.33. Feit came in second place at 58.21 seconds, while
Alyssa Larson completed the podium-sweep for WSU in third at 1:00.40.
The Warriors also swept the podium in the 800 meters, with Beyer earning top honors with a time of 2:13.69.
Bellamy Sukalski took second in 2:27.54 and
Kylie Anderson earned third with a 2:31.74.
Brooklyn Schyvinck ran the 200-meter dash in 25.58 to earn the victory, while teammate
Daria Tersina came in 12th place.
In the 60-meter dash,
Xana Leum ran a 9.10 to finish in first place and
Hanna Reichenberger finished in third with a time of 9.11 seconds.
McKenna Taylor ran the mile in 5:06.2 to earn second place and
Sophia Taarud finished in fourth with a 5:11.37.
In the field events, four Warriors finished in the top-10 in the long jump. Tersina finished fifth,
Kaylee Olson took sixth,
Ashlie Lockington came in at seventh, and
Kaylee Patnode earned a 10th-place finish.
Leum (fourth), Tersina (fifth), Reichenberger (sixth), Patnode (seventh), and Lockington (10th) all competed for WSU in the triple jump as well.
Olson led WSU in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.54 meters while
Mari Mohling jumped to a 1.49 mark to finish 11th.
Winona State scored a total of 109 points to finish second in the team standings, behind UW-La Crosse's 244.666.
